Self billing is a useful process to allow agencies to speed up their pay cycles, but also requires a signed self billing contract between the agency and worker, which is something Timesheet Portal can accommodate as well.

For billing, there are plenty of options to allow you to produce invoices in the way your own clients want them delivered, whether it be a simple case of invoice per PO or a consolidated invoice with multiple purchase orders. Invoice templates are highly customisable to your specific design, so you can maintain your brand image. But most importantly, invoice and self bill generation can be automated, and exported directly into external accounting systems such as Xero, Sage and QuickBooks.

Timesheet Portal does more than just pay and bill. It is also capable of providing forecasts, margin reports with split commission percentages and more. Margin figures can be automatically exported to our partner Konquest, a dedicated platform for complex commission calculation.

Timesheet Portal also makes quarterly HMRC employment intermediary reports submission into a straightforward process. We achieve that by capturing all the required details from the contractors, then providing you with the data needed for the reports.

Most IT employees take ownership of submitting their own timesheets; this is why we made this process particularly easy and available on both, desktop and mobile systems. Additionally, we offer quick approval of timesheets via email or online.

To help manage compliance, Timesheet Portal offers a centralised document upload and storage module. It is designed for the workers to easily upload required documentation, such as professional indemnity (PI) insurance, proof of identity and others. It also tracks when documents have expired, so you always have the most up-to-date documents for compliance.

IR35 compliance

Recent changes in IR35 have made it harder to get workers to operate as limited companies, and in some cases has resulted in workers having to pay deemed PAYE tax.

Timesheet Portal offers 2 solutions for working with the new legislation, either through contracts that deliver work packages, rather than work based on hourly/daily rates. This is provided through a timesheet that tracks deliverables rather than time, which can still undergo the standard submission and approval process.

Some workers who fall within IR35 continue to operate as limited companies, paying their deemed PAYE and NI contributions. Our system can accommodate this approach as well, allowing you to export the worker’s time into your PAYE software and then importing your PAYE and NI contributions back, so that they are deducted from their self billing invoices.
