We are proud to present our latest Timesheet Portal feature - Purchase Order Management.
In a nutshell, instead of just setting up your purchase order numbers against jobs or projects, you can now create a purchase order record with a defined amount and start/end date. We expect this to help you save time when either compiling the paperwork or filtering your system in order to find it.
This is just phase 1 of making purchase orders easy. Our next phase of work will give you the ability to invoice per purchase order and add-in email notifications when purchase order remaining amounts are running low, and more graphs and reports. Stay tuned!
Easier Purchase Orders
The principle of this new addition is simple. You attach the same Purchase Order to more than one job/project and it allows you to monitor the ongoing spending. To navigate to it, go to the Clients page. There you will now find a new tab for Purchase Orders - click on it. It will provide you with an easy-to-read display of current purchase orders, their spending and the percentage remaining.
If you have previously been inserting purchase order numbers into Timesheet Portal, then our upgrade scripts will have already created purchase order records. All you need to do is go to the Clients page and edit your purchase order amounts so you can start adding some value. Take note of the small differences involved when creating a new job/project now. Instead of just entering the text of the purchase order, you type in the PO and then select Create New if this is a new submission. If the purchase order already exists, then it will show in a drop-down list, so you can pick it.
