We’ve introduced an improved way to manage leave allowances, making it easier to track and edit historical and future values for each employee.
When you open the new Leave Allowances page and select a user, you’ll now see a year-by-year grid showing their leave settings. This gives you full visibility of how allowances are applied over time.
The grid replaces the older single-value fields and becomes the main view when editing. At the top of the page, you’ll see a banner displaying the employee’s name, along with a quick link to return to all allowances.
A helpful notification panel sits at the top of the page to explain whether the employee is using:
If no overrides exist, you’ll see a message like:
This employee is using the account default allowances. To override the allowance, select a year below and enter a new value. The change will apply to that year and all future years, until overridden again.
If an override has been applied, the message will clearly show when this began, for example:
This employee has their allowance overridden from the system default starting in 2024. All subsequent years will follow this updated allowance unless further changes are made.
The new grid displays all relevant years — even if no records exist yet — starting from the upcoming holiday year and working back to the employee’s start date.
Each row includes:
Click on any year to view and edit its details. The editing panel appears alongside the grid, allowing you to quickly update values.
You’ll also see the system defaults for that year, such as:
Account default allowance for this year is XX, and maximum carry over is YY.
If a year has been overridden, you’ll have the option to revert it back to the default with a single click.
