We have some exciting development news - we are gradually updating areas of the portal with a more intuitive and easier-to-use interface.

Our newest interface update is here. This time, we've targeted the Employee and Payrun Preparation pages, giving the module a brand-new look and feel.

Employees page now features a more visually appealing, dynamic, and user-friendly design. All functionality remains the same; however, you will notice that some elements have been rearranged to group related fields together in the same location. Specifically for timesheet fields, such as timesheet approvers and timesheet permissions, which were previously on different tabs, are now located within a new Timesheets tab. The same approach has been applied to expenses and leave. Editing employees is now done by clicking on the employee record instead of the edit icon. You will still have the option ‘To View Old Employee Page’ for some time. Keep in mind that we will be gradually removing it as we encourage all our users to adopt the new interface's enhanced features.

Payrun Page Revamped Designs

Next, let’s discuss our updates in Payrun Preparation. We introduced an improved menu for easier navigation through various functions. It includes adding new pay items, adjusting deductions, and reviewing final calculations before approving the pay run. To edit the Payrun Prep form, go to the Drafts tab and select the line item you wish to change. However, remember, once you approve the form, it cannot be edited. If there is a mistake, you will need to delete the entire pay run and create it again.

You can delete it by going to the Approved tab, selecting the desired pay run, and clicking the Delete button. To add a new line item, select 'Add item' at the top of the line items, enter the necessary data, and then click approve once you have reviewed the pay run.

How to Access These New Features

The new pages are available if you have joined the beta programme. If you have not yet done so, you can join by going to Settings > Account and ticking "Join the beta programme and get early access to new features." You can opt out at any time by unchecking that box, and all new pages include links to the old equivalents.

The new employees page will become the default page from 13th November for any users not on our beta programme; however, you will still be able to access the old page for some months afterwards.
